The IDN-CIPA Scholars Program
The IDN-CIPA Scholars Program, jointly run by the Institute for Developing Nations and CIPA, offers Emory undergraduates an opportunity to pursue a development-related research during a CIPA-approved semester study abroad program. Applicants who submit a successful research proposal will receive a scholarship to support their research semester abroad in countries such as Ghana , India ( Tibetan Studies or Mysore ), Indonesia, Jamaica , Kenya (St. Lawrence or SFS) , Mal , Mongolia , Morocco , Nicaragua , Senegal , South Africa ( OTS or UCT ), Uganda and Vietnam . Relevant research areas include development studies, peace and conflict studies, public health, social justice, arts and culture, gender studies and democracy and human rights. Upon their return, students present their research at a conference jointly sponsored by Emory and The Carter Center.
Deadline: September 15, 11:59pm (or the next workday) for Spring and February 15 for Fall programs.
